Students are expected to maintain an "assignment sheet" in the front of their notebooks.  Students will record each day's assignment on the assignment sheet. When papers are turned in on time, the teacher will stamp the assignment sheet.  When papers are returned, the student should record their grade on this sheet. 

 Parents should be able to  look at the student's notebook to find out how their child is doing in class. 

Parents should check to see that daily assignments are completed and have the student try to explain what they have done. 

Parents are encouraged to make sure their students always have a book to read. 

Parents are encouraged to check their child's behavior, grades, and attendance online at www.thinkwave.com    Free internet access is available at the public library.

 Parents are encouraged to call 424-4391 if they would like to make an appointment to speak with Mrs. Butler.  She is available  between 1:00-2:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays and between 7:15-8:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Friday times depend on whether it is A or B day (A day is the same as Monday & Wednesday while B day is the same as Tuesday & Thursday).
